Opioid overdose response training

Site: Meany Middle School 301 21st Ave E, Seattle, WA 98112 – Hosted by the PTSA (Food will be served).

With the alarming increase in overdose-related deaths in King County, particularly from pills and powders containing fentanyl, this training session is being offered to bring awareness to this crisis.

What is fentanyl?

Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid that is stronger than other common opioids such as heroin and morphine. The issue is compounded by the fact that these drugns can be disguided to look like prescription pills, putting users at risk of consuming lethal doses without realizing it.

You don’t want to miss this informative training so, join us to learn how to recognize and respond to an opioid overdose.

Facilitator: linnet Mitchell M.Ed – Healthy Schools Coordinator Seattle Public Schools llmitchell@seattleschools.org.
