Robert Mosgrave has a wide range of teaching experience including elementary, middle and high school music ensembles. His teaching assignments have included inner city, suburban and rural school districts. He is in his 16th year of teaching in the Seattle Public Schools where his classes have always been inclusive and reflected the diversity of the Seattle Public Schools. During his time with the Seattle Public Schools he has collaborated with community groups and worked with composers to expand student opportunities. His middle school students have performed six world premieres. He also works closely with Seattle Pacific University’s Music Education department.

Mr. Mosgrave is excited to be back at Meany Middle School! He returned to Meany for it's re-opening in Fall of 2017 after eight years of teaching Band, Orchestra and Computer Applications at McClure Middle School where he was Head of the Music Department. Before McClure he was the Music Director at Meany for six years, where in addition to teaching Band and Jazz Band he reestablished the orchestra program at Meany. The Meany music program had partnerships with several community groups including The Seattle Youth Symphony, and the Seattle Philharmonic Orchestra and took part in performances with The Marion Anderson String Quartet and the Young Eight. He is looking forward to developing a strong music department at Meany once again.
