    School Nurse Meg Courtney

My name is Meg Courtney and I am a School Nurse here at Meany Middle School. I am very excited to be part of this diverse school community! I was born in Manila, Philippines and moved to the Seattle area in 2001. I am a Seattle Public School alumni and have attended Coe Elementary, Catharine Blaine K-8 and Ballard High School (Go Beavers!). I graduated from Bellevue College with an associate’s degree in nursing and am currently pursuing my BSN. I started work as a Cardiac/Telemetry Nurse at Northwest Hospital while also working part-time as a one-on-one nurse for a medically complex student with the Lake Washington School District. I also worked briefly with older adults within the assisted living community. I truly enjoy working and promoting community health and look forward to working with our diverse community here at Meany Middle School.

In my spare time, I volunteer for the Homeward Pet Adoption Center, spending time with family and friends, cooking, and traveling.
